Hello, it seems that the xml in the Filter Category Definition is no longer well formed.

Perhaps double-check that you added the ShowCounts=”Count” within a Category tag and that the closing bracket is still there.

Thanks for the post about the refinement panel. I am just getting into customizing the panel. I tried the steps you listed and when applying changes I receive the error: Validating filter config XML: The ‘FilterCategories’ start tag on line 1 does not match the end tag of ‘Category’. Line 1, position 3113.

I only added ShowCounts=”Count” and didn’t edit anything else. Am I missing something?

Very useful!

The tricky thing here in Task #10 is the new workflow is set to start automatically. As a result, a potential workflow import issue does not appear.

How about adding the newly imported workflow to make it start manually? Check “Allow this workflow to be manually started” in task #10, step #3 (and of course, uncheck “start this workflow when a new item created”). The workflow cannot be started just because the start form is not deployed to the site, along with the workflow itself. I’m talking about SPDWorkflow.xsn file.

How to fix this?

I’ve just returned from a week long intensive course on Sharepoint 2010. I passed the 70-667 TS exam, but unfortuantely didn’t make the 70-668 Pro exam I found it pretty tough and 50% of the class failed the first exam. People who have worked with MOSS said they felt they were actually at a disadvantage by having experience with a previous version.
